We're looking for a dynamic HR Specialist to take on a wide variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to mergers and acquisitions (M&A), performance management, on/offboarding activities, employee Helpdesk, HRIS systems and data reporting, payroll activities, and recruiting support. Responsibilities
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
- Facilitate HR operational aspects of merger and acquisition efforts including but not limited to HR due diligence, HR Day 1 readiness, onboarding planning, setup, execution, auditing, and integration process support.
Performance Management
- Oversee the administration of goal setting, performance reviews, and compensation cycles in Paylocity HRIS.
- Support launch of employee engagement surveys, pulse surveys, etc. in Paylocity HRIS.
- Generate reports on results and trends on survey, goal, performance, and compensation cycles.
- Support leaders and employees with policy, practice, and execution questions or issues.
On/Offboarding
- Support onboarding process of new hires following established work processes with various stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely completion.
- Support employee separations process following established work processes with various stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely completion.
HR Helpdesk
- Provide guidance on employees' inquiries via shared HR mailbox and phone line.
- Reference policies and procedures to provide accurate and timely responses to all HR-related questions.
HRIS & Reporting
- Assist with updates and maintenance to HRIS and other systems in HR tech stack, as well as SOPs, training materials, flow charts, flyers, etc.
- Support HR team members with government compliance reporting and cadenced reporting to non-HR stakeholders.
- Assist with special reporting requests, year-end compliance processes, new initiatives, and data audits related to federal, state, and local compliance laws.
Payroll
- Support maintenance of payroll and timekeeping information by researching situations, interpreting and collecting information, entering data, and processing outputs when necessary.
Recruiting
- Assist in full life cycle process including but not limited to job description creation, job posting, sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, schedule coordination with hiring managers, managing candidate communications, facilitating offer negotiations, preparing recruitment reports, ensuring compliance with hiring policies including heavy administrative tasks to ensure proper maintenance of our ATS.
Other
- Serve as back up to other Human Resources Operations team members.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven work experience as an HR professional across 3 or more HR disciplines.
- Minimum of 3 years experience of proven work experience in HR and benefit aspects of mergers & acquisitions required.
- Nationwide travel to various locations as it relates to merger & acquisition activity is required.
- Solid understanding of Federal, State, and local labor and employment laws.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience with or knowledge of Payroll & HRIS systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Patience and sensitivity in handling personal information in potentially stressful situations.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Time management and prioritization skills.
- Excellent spelling, grammar, and attention to detail.
- Creative problem-solving capabilities.
- Flexibility and ability to work well in a team environment.
Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is between $55,000 and $65,000 annually. Please note that this pay range serves as a general guideline and reflects a broad spectrum of labor markets across the US. While it is uncommon for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the range, compensation decisions are influenced by various factors. At HALO, these include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's work experience, location, education and training, key skills, internal equity, external market data, and broader market and business considerations.
