We are thrilled to collaborate with our Chicago manufacturing client in search of a detailed, energetic HR Specialist. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, passionate about people, and excited to continue growing in their career.
Onsite
Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm with some flexibility
$65K-$75K plus 6% bonus opportunity

Some of your responsibilities:

• Facilitate new hire orientations and assist with the onboarding process.
• Coordinate the internal job promotion and interview process.
• Perform data entry into the HRIS for all new hires, changes, LOAs, and terminations. Maintain HRIS accuracy for all employee records.
• Assist all union and non-union employees with annual open enrollment for benefits. Handle leave management for the site (FMLA, STD, ADA, W/C).
• Recruit hourly employees, work with temporary agencies, and manage agency relationships.
• Coordinate and facilitate a variety of employee meetings and engagement events.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employees with HR needs.
• Assist with employee relations issues including, but not limited to, counseling, coaching, and corrective actions.
• Contribute to a positive employee relations environment. Help foster a collaborative culture and focus on employee engagement.

What do you need to succeed?

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
• 3 years of Human Resources experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity working with an HRIS
• Excellent verbal and written skills, ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels within the organization
• Being bilingual in Spanish or Catonese is helpful
