Industrial Painter Duties and Responsibilities:

• Paint and apply finishing coats in accordance with blueprints, manufacturing instructions and/or customer specifications.
• Set-up and maintain work areas and operate painting equipment in accordance to safety procedures.
• Record and report working hours and material usage.
• Maintain clean work areas, tool repair, and equipment inventory.
• Inspect paint jobs and materials, adjust colors and fix defects.
• Read and understand manufacturing processes as it applies to painting.
• Read, verify, and understand bill of material (BOM).
• Follow production schedule.
• Load raw material into paint pressure pots
• Safely operate crane, pallet jack and forklift.
• Must be able to follow direction, take constructive criticism, maintain focus, and keep a positive attitude.

Industrial Painter Skills and Responsibilities:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two plus years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to effectively present information to employees within the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, divide, in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense to practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
