What You'll Do:
Manage a caseload of complex property claims, ensuring fair and efficient resolutions.
Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to facilitate claims processing.
Investigate damages by gathering information from policyholders, third parties, and external sources.
Analyze policy terms and determine coverage, including identifying potential liability and subrogation opportunities.
Negotiate claim settlements within authority limits and consult with management on higher-level decisions.
Maintain accurate claim documentation throughout the process.
Utilize estimating technology platforms and virtual inspection tools to assess property damages.
Support workload surges and catastrophe (CAT) response operations as needed, which may include on-call availability and occasional travel.
Adjust claims involving legal considerations and collaborate with attorneys when necessary.
Stay up to date on jurisdictional laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
Ensure compliance with all risk management and regulatory requirements.
Work Schedule & Location:
This is a hybrid role, requiring three days in the office per week. Available locations include San Antonio, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Colorado Springs, CO; Chesapeake, VA; and Tampa, FL.
Standard work schedules are Monday-Friday between 7 AM-6:30 PM CST
Some weekend work may be required
This is an hourly, non-exempt position with paid overtime
This role operates in a high-volume call center environment
Relocation assistance is not available
What You Bring:
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 2 years of experience handling property claims, including dwelling and structural damages
Strong proficiency in Xactimate or similar estimating tools
Knowledge of residential construction and property insurance policies
Excellent negotiation, investigation, and conflict resolution skills
Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
Ability to travel 50-75% of the year for claims resolution and catastrophe response
Must obtain an insurance adjuster license within 90 days (up to three attempts allowed)
Successful completion of a job-related assessment (if required)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience handling complex condo claims, litigation, and liability cases
Familiarity with virtual claims technologies like ClaimsXperience, Hover, or EagleView
Professional insurance designations such as AINS, CPCU, AIC, SCLA (or currently pursuing)
Xactimate Level 1 or Level 2 certification
Active adjuster license
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Previous experience working in a call center environment
Military experience (active duty, veteran, spouse, or domestic partner)
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: $67,750 - $121,950 (varies by location and experience)
