Position: Commercial Insurance Underwriter (Remote - Commercial Auto)

We are looking for a dedicated Commercial Insurance Underwriter to join our dynamic team. While we prefer candidates based in Florida, we welcome applicants from surrounding Gulf and Eastern Seaboard states for remote work.

As a Commercial Insurance Underwriter, you will report to the Underwriting Operations Manager and play a crucial role in evaluating new business submissions. Your primary responsibility will be to assess applications for coverage and determine the acceptability of the associated risks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review initial information provided by prospective insured clients and agents.
- Prepare quotes while maintaining open communication with clients and agents until the policy is finalized or a decision is made not to proceed.
- Price and rate new submissions according to established guidelines, collaborating with the Underwriting Operations Manager as needed.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insured clients and agents, providing excellent customer service.
- Contribute to achieving production goals and support the underwriting team.
- Oversee the duties of Underwriting Assistants, particularly with endorsement requests that require specialized review and accuracy checks on bind requests.
- Assist Renewal Underwriters with evaluations, revisions, and the processing of bind requests as necessary.
- Support various administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial insurance underwriting.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Keen attention to detail.
- A college degree is preferred but not required.
