Job Description

As a Senior Accountant, you'll play a crucial role on the Finance team, working directly with the Controller. You will be responsible for a wide range of general accounting functions, including managing journal entries, account reconciliations, revenue analysis, consolidating financial statements, handling compliance filings, and overseeing both local and international intercompany transactions. You'll collaborate closely with facilities in Asia, so the ability to speak Mandarin is a valuable asset.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare daily flash reports and conduct detailed financial analysis
- Oversee cash and investment management processes
- Communicate with international teams to ensure smooth foreign accounting and operational transactions
- Manage fixed assets, including capital requests and monthly depreciation tracking
- Prepare financial reports, tax returns, and other regulatory documents
- Analyze financial data and perform variance analysis to understand trends and discrepancies
- Reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts regularly
- Assist with the preparation of federal, state, local, and special tax returns
- Support internal and external audits, including investigating and resolving audit findings
- Coordinate the flow of accounting data between local and remote facilities
- Help prepare and monitor budgets to align with financial goals
- Provide clear financial communication to stakeholders and departments
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff
- Contribute to special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least 2 years of prior accounting experience preferred
- Mandarin language skills are a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Solid financial analysis and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Knowledge of tax laws and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
