About Us

Constructor powers product search and discovery for some of the largest retailers in the world, like Sephora and Petco. We serve billions of requests every day, and you’ve probably seen our results somewhere and used our product without knowing it. We differentiate ourselves by focusing on metrics over features, and reinventing search and discovery from the ground up as a machine learning challenge with the specific goal of improving metrics like revenue. About the Position

As a JavaScript Engineer on the Prospect Solutions team, you’ll be helping prospects (future customers) to improve the search experiences within their websites.

In this role, your will:

• Write JavaScript code to gather data to train our AI
• Help prospects to integrate their data and UI with our services (ETL & front-end)
• Answer technical questions from prospects about our services
• Validate prospects’ data and the quality of results returned by our services
• Support teammates with thorough and thoughtful code reviews
• Build dashboards and alerts with React, Redux, Node, and OpenSearch
• Implement and testing new features in our JavaScript UI libraries and REST clients
• Coordinate with other teams to prioritize prospect needs
• Contribute to our open-sourced repositories (e.g. constructorio-ui-autocomplete)

Requirements

• A minimum of four years of professional experience or relevant academic experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• English on C1 level (CEFR) or higher
• Being able to attend regular meetings with Americas-based teammates between 2 and 8 pm UTC
• Strong foundation and experience with server-side and client-side JavaScript
• Enjoys interacting with customers and solving new problems daily
• Able to pick up new technologies and design patterns quickly and loves learning them
• Experience with front-end frameworks like React, Vue or Angular
• Experience with CSS and an eye for user experience
• Experience with automated tests – e.g. Cypress, Jest, or React Testing Library
• Nice to have – TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind, Storybook, Python and web scraping experience

This position is fully remote – Constructor.io is a remote-first company.

Salary range: $80,000 – $110,000 USD / year
