Job Description

Responsibilities

IGT is excited to offer a prestigious position to build and lead its newly created PlaySports B2B sportsbook services, based at the IGT campus in Las Vegas. 

The successful candidate will be joining an IGT PlaySports business team which already has the most successful B2B sports betting platform offering in the US. We are pursuing a long-term vision to bring world-class full-service sports betting solutions to every casino in every state and tribal territory of the US by leveraging all IGT’s assets in this diverse marketplace, including our deep customer relationships, coast-to-coast licensing and our unrivalled global resources, experience and technical capabilities. You will be responsible for the trading of live games, testing and overseeing automated algorithms and game data for In-Play live games across all six major American sports.

Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain daily sports betting programs for all IGT managed customers
  • Populate, open and maintain sports betting lines and numbers
  • Adjust lines based on liability positions in accordance to agreed strategy with the customer and direction by Head of the book
  • Assist in resulting and grading games, verifying results from the data feeds and relevant sources
  • Perform player profiling for the Patrons of IGT managed sports books
  • Make decisions and recommendations to IGT managed books about acceptance of large bets
  • Follow betting and sports related news and maintain knowledge about ongoing games
  • Follow the sports and betting related news via multiple platforms (traditional and social media)
  • Disseminate collected information within trading team and adjust lines and trading strategy based on that
  • Inform customers on any emerging betting trends as a result of collected information
  • Manage content of customer facing apps and screens
  • In collaboration with content team
  • Manage any ongoing promotions and bonuses
  • Monitor exposure and effectiveness
  • Monitor for promotion abuse
  • Propose improvements to head of the book
  • Communicate with the customer via established live channels
  • Inform customer on significant movements in the book
  • Inform customer on particular players, betting trends or potential bonus abuse
  • Inform customer when adding relevant new content to the app and customer facing screens
  • Advise customer on actions for large or suspicious bets
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to team strategy roadmap
  • Perform any other duties given by Head of the book

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A passion and in-depth knowledge of American sports and trends are a must, as is the availability to work around the sporting calendar.
  • Customer-focused – thinks about customers 24/7 and creates processes, solutions etc. which tangibly improve customer experience
  • Effective collaborator – works with others within the team and the wider organization, whilst communicating effectively across a range of channels and audiences

  • Strong attention to detail: Diligent and applies a thoroughness and thoughtful approach to tasks with the aim to provide quality results in a short time.

Qualifications

  • Mathematical or business degree will be considered an asset
  • 6 months to 1-year experience to a similar role.
  • Passion about US sports & betting knowledge.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English. Additional languages will be considered an asset. 
  • Knowledge and use of Microsoft applications and Excel in particular.
