2nd shift: 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM 
To be trained in the first shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) during first 3 months

This is an Entry Level position. 
Analytical Lab Chemist with Precious Metals experience preferred

(Pay -DOE)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•             Set up and conduct chemical experiments, tests, and analysis using specified techniques

•             Perform wet chemical analysis tests

•             Fully load and unload high-temperature furnaces with fusion and cupellation samples

•             Hammering fusion samples

•             Conduct R&D

•             Follow QAQC protocol

•             Operate and maintain instruments/equipment such as ICP, XRay, and Furnace

•             Data entry and ability to interpret analytical results/data

•             Assist in maintaining and cleaning of the lab instruments and equipment

•             Act as a backup when team members are not present

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

•             Minimum bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field

•             Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)

•             Experience in wet chemistry and operation of ICP-OES

•             Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

•             Computer literacy in Microsoft Office

Physical Requirements:

•             Necessity to stand continually through an entire shift

•            Ability to wear a respirator during parts of the day (this means you must be clean-shaven)

 

Legal:

• Be a US Citizen, US permanent resident, or Classified as a protected person.
• Medically fit to work in the business area.
• Successfully clear security screening record including a 7-year criminal record search free of theft or fraud related offenses.
• Successfully clear pre-employment drug screening
