Job Description

As a Laundry Attendant , you will make our guests and colleagues feel special by assisting the laundry team with processing the resort’s linens, terry and uniforms.

Hourly Rate: $24.37

What you will be doing:

• Operate commercial washers and dryers to facilitate the cleaning of colleague uniforms and in-house and guest laundry as required
• Sort incoming linens, terry and uniforms
• Press guest clothing as requested
• Operate ironers, folders, steamers and other equipment as required
• Set aside and report any damaged or marked linen
• Manual folding of various items
• Organize time so all side work is completed according to shift demand
• Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment; report any malfunctioning equipment
• Maintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guests
• Focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Be knowledgeable of the island, our resort and its offerings in order to be our guests’ trusted guide
• Carry out duties in accordance with company policies/procedures to ensure safety and security of guests and colleagues, including reporting suspicious persons and lost and found items

Qualifications

Experience

• Previous experience in Housekeeping or Laundry is an asset
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process
• Must be service oriented and capable of communicating effectively with persons involved in all levels of authority, both internally and externally
