DatamanUSA is looking for a Laundry Worker I for our direct client based in Kaneohe, HI. This is a great opportunity for someone who is a quick learner with excellent people skills.
Job Description:
Title: Laundry Worker I
Location: 45-710 Kea'ahala Road, Kaneohe, HI 96744
Shift timing: 40 hours/week, M-F
Duration: 1year
Role & Responsibilities:
Operating one or more pieces of laundry equipment in performing duties connected with washing linen, garments and other articles of clothing and performs other related duties as assigned.
*) Receives soiled linen from hospital wards and floors; scales input and out-going laundry carts and logs wights daily; checks and sorts incoming laundry.
*) Loads and unloads soiled/washed linen, blankets and garments into washing machines and dryers; starts, operates and stops washers and dryers.
*) Determines wash cycle, adds soap solutions; pulls out washed/dried linen and garments.
*) Folds, counts and stores linen; marks and re-marks numbers on clothing, sizes on patient's clothing, and numbers to identify the ward units.
*) Maintains laundry area and staff bathroom/shower in a clean condition.
Minimum Requirements:
*) The care and operation of laundry equipment and the uses and methods of preparing various solutions.
*) One year of commercial or institutional laundry experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
