Job Description

Key Responsibilities and Skills:

• Deliver attentive nursing care to residents under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.

• Provide both direct and indirect patient care, focusing on residents' safety and wellness.

• Supervise CNA staff to ensure effective task completion and high standards of care.

• Assist with treatments and monitor residents' baseline health.

• Participate in developing individualized resident care plans, ensuring regulatory compliance.

• Proficiency in medical terminology and basic nursing procedures.

• Strong documentation skills, with an ability to prepare clear and concise reports.

• Effective communication skills for interacting with residents, families, and the healthcare team.

• Familiarity with infection control procedures and use of healthcare equipment.

• Compassionate care approach and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.

• Understanding of elderly resident medications and potential side effects.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Successful completion of an accredited LVN/LPN program.

• Current valid California LVN license or Interim Permit.

• Valid Basic Life Support/Healthcare Provider certification.
