M/I Homes, a top 15 national home builder , is looking for a Residential Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant for its builder financing subsidiary, M/I Financial, LLC located in Lewisville, Texas. The successful candidate must be:

• Familiar in origination and underwriting guidelines of all types of mortgage loans.
• Knowledgeable in Conventional, FHA, VA, and Texas bond loan guidelines.

Job Summary :

• Assists loan officers in completing FHA, VA, and Conventional loan applications, preparing the loan for automated approval, and submission to processing.
• This position will carry a small pipeline for the right individual. Applicants MUST be licensed and ready to originate as needed.
• IDEAL GROWTH POSITION for those aspiring to become successful loan officers.
• Company offers paid continuing education for NMLS and State of Texas licensing.

Requirements

• Works closely with loan officers, builder sales representatives, and new home purchasers to assist all parties in completing the purchase transaction.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required for interaction with a variety of customers both inside and outside the organization.
• Elicits, interprets, analyzes, and evaluates given information relative to underwriting guidelines and requirements.
• Qualified and comfortable contacting customers by phone or email to discuss the loan, request documentation, and answer non-complex questions.
• Assists the Loan Officer in maintaining customer satisfaction and sales capture to meet goals.
• Adequately interprets AUS findings and knows documentation needed based on those findings.
• Prequalifies potential borrowers as needed.
• Maintains an active NMLS and Texas SML Mortgage Loan Originator License.

• This is an ONSITE position located in Lewisville, Texas. This position DOES NOT offer opportunities for Hybrid or Remote work.

• Ability to travel to Builder Communities within the Home Builder Division.

Minimum Education and Work Experience:

Some college preferred, and at least three (2) years of current experience in a purchase focused mortgage origination role.
