Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description & Skill Requirement:

• Update Manufacturing build and flow documents are needed due to Change Notices or process improvements including Standard Operation Sheets (SOS), area layouts, work instructions, tools, systems, etc. and align physical layout to digital documents.
• Review and approve Engineering documents (change notices, prints, documentation, etc.) and ensure manufacturing processes align with approved Engineering requirements.
• Identify the root cause of abnormalities within assigned area of responsibility and use appropriate problem-solving techniques to identify and implement lean solutions on a continuous basis.
• Participate in the improvement of work instructions, parts presentation, and tool development to support production area's Key Performance Indicator (KPI) attainment and Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI) activities.
• Participate on teams for improvement projects within areas of responsibility to meet established goals.

1. Knowledge of lean manufacturing, tooling design, and/or experience reading technical drawings preferred.

2. Ability to understand problems from a customer's perspective and produce a mutually acceptable result leading to improved quality and efficiency for the customer.

3. Knowledge of assembly and welding techniques, just-in-time manufacturing processes, and statistical process variation. Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic drawings.

4. Ability to utilize lean principles to drive improvement and act as a champion of the change.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; or equivalent
