Mechanical Assembler  - Merrimack, NH 
Contract to hire
1st shift 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
$18.00 - $20.00 hr. 

Summary
Will be assembling sophisticated power electronics modules for locomotive applications and rack mountable power conversion equipment for industrial applications. The individual must be self-motivated with a positive attitude that fosters a team environment.

Daily Activities will include:

• Prep of mechanical subassemblies.
• Familiarity with torque drivers and settings and ESD handling techniques 
• Assembly and wiring of power electronic assemblies
• Installation into cabinets; crimping, labeling, dressing
• Building wiring harness assemblies and subassemblies.
• Hand Soldering electronics assemblies desired but not required
• Final product assembly and packaging
• Peer inspection

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in similar position
• Ability to read assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and mechanical blueprints.
• Experience with both metric and standard units
• Use of various hand tools (tweezers, crimpers, microscopes, wire cutters, etc.)
• Understanding of ESD and of how to work within an ESD controlled environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• A demonstrated attentiveness to detailed oriented tasks
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards desired
• Experience with 5S and Lean principles desired
