Job Description

Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has an opportunity available for a limited-term, full-time Mechanical Engineering Intern to join us starting May/June 2025 and ending in August/September 2025 located in our West Allis, WI office. This internship has the potential to continue part time through the school year.

Responsibilities may include:

• Design tasks (research, alternatives evaluation, sizing, layout, equipment specifications)
• Assist with developing drawings and calculations
• Communicate with outside vendors and solicitation of equipment quotes
• Data gathering assignments in support of various engineering projects
• Various other projects as assigned

A valid driver’s license will be required.

The successful candidate must have obtained a Junior or Senior standing in their program and be working towards a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.

The ideal candidate will possess any/all the following:

• Mechanical design coursework in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
• Experience with Revit and or AutoCAD software
• Enrollment in an ABET accredited architectural or mechanical engineering degree program
• Microsoft Office software experience
