We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Medical Assistant Instructor to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
Create and deliver dynamic, engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum goals and foster student engagement.
Teach both theoretical concepts and hands-on skills, covering topics such as medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, clinical procedures, patient care, and medical office administration.
Demonstrate best practices in medical assisting, including safety protocols, ethical standards, and proper techniques.
Build an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and promotes student success.
Supervise students during lab work, simulations, and clinical practice, offering guidance and support.
Assess student performance through various evaluations, including exams and practical assessments.
Offer constructive feedback to help students improve their skills and professional development.
Provide individualized support to students who may need extra help to meet course objectives.
Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in the medical field to ensure students receive the most up-to-date training.
Collaborate with fellow instructors to refine curriculum, enhance program offerings, and contribute to continuous improvement.
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe learning environment, both in the classroom and laboratory.
Act as a mentor and resource, offering encouragement and guidance to students as they progress through their training.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification preferred.
At least 3 years of experience as a practicing medical assistant.
Experience in teaching, training, or mentoring, particularly in a medical assisting or healthcare setting, is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of medical assisting practices, industry standards, and healthcare procedures.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics clearly and effectively.
A passion for teaching, with patience and enthusiasm for guiding students.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Comfort with using instructional technology and incorporating multimedia into lessons.
Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and medical office software.
A commitment to creating a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Basic computer skills.
Hours and Availability:
Day and evening shifts available, including a partial work-from-home/remote schedule.
