Job Description

Tennessee Valley Bone and Joint is seeking a medical phone operator, Greeting Specialist, to assist with Scheduling of appointments , C ollecting patient information, and Managing communications with doctors, clinical, and clerical team, patients, vendors, and third-party payers.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Value Honesty, Integrity, & Accountability
• Value Team and Respect Consumers
• High School Diploma
• One year experience in a medical office, hospital, or billing center
• Understand Insurance and Benefits terminology
• Have strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Knowledge of medical office procedures and terminology is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Answering Phones
• Routing Phone Calls
• Schedule New and Existing Patients
• Check Insurance Benefits
• Collect & Post Payments
• Assist Clerical Team with Registration and Check-Out as needed
• All other Duties as Assigned
