Qualifications include:
• Master’s Degree & Ordination (or in process) as United Methodist Deacon preferred. Bachelor’s degree in a related field of expertise or equivalent experience required.
• Must share and support UMCG’s mission to illuminate our community with God’s grace as we lovingly accept, listen to, and serve all in the Spirit of Jesus.
• Familiarity with United Methodist theology, polity, and practices.
• Demonstrated ability to connect the community and the church with outreach programs.
• Comprehend a team concept of ministry and demonstrate excellent communication, invitational, organizational, and interpersonal skills as a team player.
• Must be compliant with all applicable state and federal background clearances.
Other Specifications:
• This is a full-time position, with responsibilities distributed as follows: 3/8 of the time dedicated to intergenerational faith formation, 1/4 to outreach ministries, 1/8 to worship leadership, 1/8 to
nursery oversight, and 1/8 to collaborative youth ministry. These duties encompass all necessary administrative tasks, coordination, and preparation required to effectively serve the children, youth,
and families within our community and congregation.
• Work Schedule: Typical schedule includes onsite Sunday morning programing and three onsite days with some evenings, weekends and early mornings required based on program needs. Virtual
and hybrid work from home arrangements can be made.
• UMCG is prepared to offer a competitive and customizable compensation package that begins with a $50,000 minimum salary and negotiable benefits package (i.e. parsonage with utilities;
relocation assistance; accountable reimbursement plan; pension; health benefits; PTO, etc).
