Description

The Mixologist creates classic and innovative drinks to ensure an excellent guest drinking experience. Delivers technically proficient, efficient and personalized Luxury Food & Beverage service in bars, restaurant venues and special events. Maintains and demonstrates complete knowledge of Food & Beverage menus and service standards including allergen information. Provides personalized service for guests and creates a work environment of teamwork and lateral service amongst coworkers. Maintains clean and presentable work area. Partners with Beverage Leadership team to develop and maintain an intriguing and relevant cocktail and spirits program.

Provides Luxury Food & Beverage service to guests in a courteous and professional manner in bar and restaurant venues and special events; Anticipates and responds to the needs of guests and Ladies and Gentlemen by ensuring all supplies are readily available before and during service, maintaining a clean, safe and accident-free environment; Setup, cleaning, and break-down of bar venues and maintaining equipment, supplies, goods and all work areas, reporting any issues to leadership; Proactively seeks information on expected business volume and coordinates with supporting roles to ensure appropriate amount of materials are prepared for service; Adheres to sanitation and cleaning plan throughout all venues and proper preparation for internal and official Health and Cleanliness Inspections; Assisting with inventory processes including requisitions and receiving; Ensuring Compliance with Public Health and all Safety and Labor Regulations; In charge of assigned venue, supervising and training the team of Bar Servers and Bar Utilities, making all necessary reports and requisition as well as inventory and custom count.; Ensuring all cocktails and beverages produced are made with care, well presented and consistently search for ways to improve the beverage program and wow our guests.; Qualifications

Valid Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) and flag certification for the duration of the contract and appropriate to position; Good knowledge and experience in Public Health Rules and Regulations related to USPH and HACCP; Previous Bartender experience in a five-star luxury cruise restaurant environment; Excellent working knowledge of food, beverage (wine, beers, spirits, cocktails, coffee, tea) and international cuisine;

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The Lady or Gentleman must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.; All Yacht Ladies and Gentlemen must be physically able to participate in emergency lifesaving procedures and drills. Full use and range of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal and hearing abilities are required to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency including the lowering of lifeboats. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.; All Yacht Ladies and Gentlemen must be able to communicate in the English language in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, supervisors and co-workers.;
