QCT's mmWave Module Design Team is actively seeking engineers with demonstrated experience in the design, layout, and EM simulation of mmWave modules. **Responsibilities** + Floorplan, layout, and simulate mmWave modules in the 24 - 60GHz frequency bands for 5G and next generation technologies + Work with the RFIC and PMIC design teams to optimize module schematic, component and substrate selection, and module performance + Deliver module designs that are robust and manufacturable, always adhering to substrate supplier DRC and SAT assembly rules + Interface with a multitude of design teams including: packaging, antenna design, RF systems, product test, mechanical, thermal, sourcing, and reliability to insure the module meets all the teams' requirements + Follow-through with packaging and assembly documentation to insure the module is manufactured per specifications and delivered on-time to various design teams + Conduct characterization testing of the module comparing measured performance with simulated **Required for this Role:** - Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field. - 2+ years ASIC design, verification, or related work experience. **Preferred Qualifications** - Experience in the design, layout, and simulation of RF packages or circuit boards - Demonstrated abilities with EM simulation techniques and tools including HFSS - Experience with circuit design simulation with tools such as ADS and Cadence - Experience with standard RF test equipment such as VNA and Spectrum Analyzers - Proficient in Allegro suite of tools, specifically SiP - Motivated and passionate self-starter and team player with eagerness to learn new design techniques Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
