Job Description

This Loan Assistant will focus on meeting with clients applying for a loan, reviewing income, credit, and using their mortgage skills to structure loans, convert, and retain clients. Delivering an outstanding client experience is a must in this role. Our ideal applicant is experienced in qualifying clients and structuring loans. They are a hard- working, detail-oriented team player who ensures that every borrower feels cared for and confident through each step of the process. Experience in the Broker channel is a must. Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact between our clients and our company and schedule and conduct meetings to discuss any follow-up issues or items that need to be addressed
  • Follow up and respond to customer and in-house inquiries on transactions as needed in order to provide superior customer service
  • Review all loan package documentation for discrepancies, omissions, and income calculation then report any discrepancies to the loan originator
  • Gather and coordinate necessary loan documentation necessary for verifications and underwriting such as loan files, loan packages, credit reports, and additional mortgage application paperwork
  • Screen and make calls, book appointments and provide administrative support as needed
  • Onboards and manages ALL new leads. Figure income and run pricing to get the client ready to be pre-approved
  • Handles pre-qualification, pre-approval, and pipeline, runs DU/LP

Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in MS Office required; CRM, MLS, DU, and proprietary mortgage software preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree in finance or banking preferred
  • 2-3 years of professional office environment and administration or mortgage experience preferred
  • Highly motivated and goal-oriented with excellent customer service and communication skills
  • NMLS license
