Mortgage Loan Originator

Location: Greenville, SC

Countybank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to join our dynamic team. The individual in this position will originate first mortgage loans, promote Countybank and its lending services to the real estate community, and help identify and serve the community's financial needs through home loan consulting, real estate agent seminars and sales meetings, and by participating in and promoting Countybank's community activities.

Key Responsibilities :

• Solicit first mortgage loans and inform prospective loan clients of the available products and qualification guidelines.
• Interview all loan applicants.
• Complete each loan application and all pre-processing functions in a timely manner to permit the good faith estimate to be provided within the required time frame.
• Review loan requests based on policies and types of loans offered.
• Order credit reports, AUS, and gathers information as needed on residential loan applicants.
• Respond to all related communications in a timely manner and schedules appointments.
• Communicate approvals or denials to the borrower, reals estate agent, or builder in a timely manner.
• Actively participate in local business and community activities and maintain close contact with local builders, real estate brokers and agents, customers, and prospects.

Education and Skills Desired:

• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in mortgage loan origination.
• NMLS registration and annual renewals in compliance with SAFE Act and other regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently.
• Excellent sales, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
