We are looking for a Multi-Site Environmental Manager to join us on our journey to make it drastically easier for customers to find, choose, afford, and engage with the services, products, and professionals they need to get and stay healthy!
The Multi-Site Environmental Manager (MSEM) will lead and drive environmental operational excellence across our Amazon Pharmacy operations within the United States. They will also provide technical support at our existing operations and future expansion across the region. The role will be based in Phoenix, AZ and will report to the Amazon Pharmacy Regional Environmental Manager through the Amazon Environmental Assurance and Protection organization. The MSEM will travel up to 50%.
Key job responsibilities
•Manage and oversee local, state, and federal environmental regulations and Amazon policy.
•Develop strategic programs by integrating with engineering, construction, and operations. Drive an environmentally responsible culture within the organization.
•Lead regulatory agency interactions, permit evaluation and processing, and new process and technology introduction.
•Ensure work performed by contractors, consultants, and employees is completed in accordance with Amazon standards.
•Develop environmental metrics to monitor and forecast performance.
•Conduct thorough and accurate environmental audits for continuous improvement.
•Prioritize and manage multiple technically complex assignments concurrently.
•Represent Amazon at appropriate levels with governmental agencies and throughout the company.
•Build collaborative relationships with various stakeholders to ensure risks are identified early and managed appropriately.
•Submit time critical reports to various governmental agencies.
•Complete thorough and accurate environmental incident investigations and associated regulatory reports and develop appropriate corrective actions.
A day in the life
The MSEM develops standards and policies to support regulatory and environmental guidance for operations and construction teams. The MSEM completes environmental performance, establishes and monitors, and guides teams in implementation of Amazon environmental standards. The MSEM works with internal and external partners including government entities, contractors, consultants, construction, operations and other key stakeholders.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience
- Bachelor's degree
