Job Overview: The Night Auditor is responsible for managing the front desk operations during the night shift, ensuring smooth and efficient guest check-ins and check-outs, and performing nightly accounting duties. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle guest inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and courtesy.
Key Responsibilities:

Guest Services:
- Provide exceptional service to guests during the night shift, addressing requests, inquiries, and concerns promptly and courteously.
- Perform check-ins and check-outs, ensuring a seamless and efficient process.
- Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications as needed.
Front Desk Operations:
- Manage and oversee front desk operations, including answering phones, processing payments, and maintaining accurate guest records.
- Ensure all guest requests are handled efficiently and with the utmost attention to detail.
Accounting and Reconciliation:
- Perform nightly accounting procedures, including balancing the cash drawer and reconciling transactions.
- Prepare and review nightly financial reports, including occupancy statistics, revenue, and guest billing.
- Resolve any discrepancies in guest accounts and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.

Administrative Tasks:
- Prepare and distribute daily reports to relevant departments, including occupancy and revenue reports.
- Assist with the preparation of end-of-month financial summaries and reports.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hotel front desk or accounting role preferred; experience in a 5-star hotel environment is a plus.

Responsibilities:
- Perform all front desk functions during the night shift, including checking in and out guests, answering phone calls, and responding to guest inquiries and requests
- Balance and reconcile all hotel accounts, including cash, credit card, and direct bill accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Prepare and distribute daily reports, including occupancy, revenue, and audit reports
- Complete all tasks related to guest billing, including posting charges, collecting payments, and ensuring the accuracy of guest bills
- Ensure the safety and security of the hotel and its guests by monitoring and controlling access to the building and responding to any emergencies that may arise
- Provide exceptional customer service to all guests, resolving any issues or concerns that may arise during the night shift
- Coordinate with the housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure all guest requests and needs are met during the night shift
- Assist with any other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Assistant General Manager
