Ottine Mineral Springs, Central Texas’ newest wellness resort, is excited to prepare for our soft opening Spring 2025! Located in the tranquil rolling hills of Central Texas, we offer a sacred and peaceful place for relaxation and serenity. POSITION:

Onboarding Specialist (PART-TIME) Ottine Mineral Springs is seeking an Onboarding Specialist to support the HR Manager with employee onboarding, recordkeeping, and general HR administrative tasks. This part-time, hourly position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys working with people and ensuring a smooth experience for current and new employees.

This is a part-time position requiring some nights, weekends and holidays.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the onboarding process including preparing offer letters, coordinating pre-employment paperwork, and ensuring completion of required documents.
  • Set up new hires in HR systems (e.g., Paylocity) and provide guidance on clocking in/out, requesting time off, and reviewing pay stubs.
  • Conduct onboarding sessions to introduce new employees to company policies, procedures, and workplace expectations.
  • Ensure all required employment forms (I-9, W-4, etc) are completed and filed properly.
  • Help coordinate background checks, drug screenings, and other pre-employment requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Respond to employee questions regarding benefits, policies, and procedures, directing complex inquiries to the HR Manager as needed.
  • Assist in scheduling and tracking required employee training sessions.
  • Support HR projects related to compliance, employee engagement, and performance management.
  • Help maintain the HR department’s organization by updating job descriptions, employee handbooks, and policy documents.
  • Perform other administrative HR tasks as assigned by the HR Manager.
  • Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, assisting with basic inquiries or directing them to the appropriate staff members
  • Have a thorough understanding of the amenities and directions to / from resort.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  • Stay updated on safety and emergency procedures as well as OSHA requirements.
  • Act as the HR department’s point of contact when the HR Manager is unavailable.

Due to changing operational demands and the need to exceed customer expectations, it may be necessary to undertake various functions that are not specifically related to this position. This individual may be required to carry out additional tasks and duties as needed or as directed. Additionally, employee responsibilities and job descriptions are subject to review and modification.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, weekdays, and holidays required.
  • Previous administrative or HR experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with HR systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer services skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and professional communication skills are critical.
  • Ability to work under pressure with a high level of patience and customer service.
  • CPR and first aid certification a plus and /or the willingness to be trained.
  • Ability to walk or stand and move about the resort (both indoors and outdoors) for eight or more hours per day, sit, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, push and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • The position requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, the ability to follow written and verbal instructions and procedures, and the capacity to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • The person in this position will need to be comfortable working in an indoor/outdoor use space.

COMPENSATION :

$20 - $24 / HR
