The work, and what you'll do:
Are you an Oracle Database expert with a knack for solving complex problems? Our client is seeking talented Oracle DBAs to join their team and play a pivotal role in safeguarding critical data. You'll thrive in a dynamic, mission-critical environment, leveraging your expertise to troubleshoot complex issues, optimize performance, and ensure data integrity.
Responsibilities include:
- Investigate and resolve intricate database challenges in a production setting.
- Collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including customers, system admins, developers, and management.
- Gain strong understanding of data models and architecture documents.
- Maintain database security and compliance with stringent government standards.
- Contribute to a well-defined software lifecycle and CM practices.
What you'll need:
- Solid foundation in Oracle Database administration, with at least 6 years of experience (or 8 years without a degree).
- Expert knowledge of RMAN recovery processes and familiarity with Streams replication/GoldenGate.
- Strong PL/SQL and Linux shell scripting skills (primarily bash).
- Exceptional communication abilities to interact with government and contractor personnel.
- Experience with cloud-based Oracle deployments, Certifications like OCA/OCP, RHCSA/RHCE, and passion for innovation and automation are a plus.
Clearance requirement: TS/SCI with FS Polygraph (no clearance upgrades or CCAs). Please note, you MUST have the required clearance for consideration.
