We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Developer / Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the redesign of our Oracle Data Warehouse (ODW) Virtual Private Database (VPD) policy architecture. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in database security, Oracle policy management, and enterprise data architecture to design a more robust, scalable, and domain-agnostic solution .
Analyze current state of ODW VPD policies and architecture
Design and propose a new, future-proof VPD policy model that is:
Domain-name agnostic
Secure and scalable
Easier to maintain and extend
Collaborate with internal data and engineering teams to implement the proposed solution
Develop or refactor PL/SQL packages, functions, and procedures as part of the policy logic
Provide SME-level guidance on best practices for policy definition, access control, and Oracle performance tuning
Document architectural decisions and technical recommendations
Must-Have Qualifications
Hands-on experience with Oracle Database Development
Deep understanding of Virtual Private Database (VPD) policies and fine-grained access control mechanisms
Proven experience designing or rearchitecting secure Oracle data environments
Strong expertise in PL/SQL , Oracle security , and data modeling
Familiarity with DBA_POLICY views and related Oracle system objects
Ability to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable technical designs
Excellent communication and documentation skills
