About the Position:
A community-focused health center in Rolla, Missouri is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Oral Surgeon to join its dedicated dental team. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by providing essential surgical care primarily to the Medicaid and underserved populations . The focus is on medically necessary procedures rather than elective or cosmetic surgeries, allowing for meaningful, service-driven work.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and treat a variety of oral, maxillofacial, and dental conditions, injuries, and developmental defects
Perform extractions of diseased and impacted teeth
Place dental implants as clinically indicated for functional restoration
Administer anesthesia and manage sedation during surgical procedures
Use x-rays, diagnostic tools, and clinical judgment for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
Educate patients and families about preventive care and post-operative management
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in a patient-centered care model
Requirements:
DDS/DMD with successful completion of an accredited oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program
Eligible for Missouri dental licensure
Commitment to serving underserved and Medicaid populations
Interest in practicing in a community health setting
Compensation & Benefits:
Annual salary: $715,000–$725,000 , with potential for monthly incentive bonuses
