POSITION SUMMARY:

Maintains garden area that grows exceptional fruit, vegetables, and herbs with minimal supervision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

•  Follow and observe all safe gardening practices
•  Cultivate and fertilize plants, shrubs, and trees
•  Prepares soil for planting and conducts planting operations
•  Order materials as needed
•  Maintains equipment and tools in operating condition
•  Responsible for vegetable rotation and plant health
•  Responsible for irrigation schedule and monitoring
•  Operates equipment including ATV tractor, rotor tiller, and all gardening hand tools
•  Maintains a groomed garden by general clean up, weeding, pruning, and staking
•  Work with livestock as assigned (chickens, horses, etc.)
•  Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

•  Minimum of 1 year gardening experience
•  Knowledge and skill level to operate all gardening equipment
•  Greenhouse and nursery knowledge
•  Good verbal communication skills
•  Basic English is desirable
•  Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs on a repetitive basis.
•  Must be able to work in a kneeling, crouching, or bending position for extended periods of time.
•  Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions (heat, humidity, cold)
•  Must be able to work overtime as needed

WAGE TRANSPARENCY:

The base pay for this role ranges from $23.66 - $27.80 per hour. Compensation will be determined by candidate experience, skills, and location.
