This position is located in the Department of Health Services (DHS), Division of Public Health (DPH), Bureau of Environmental and Occupational Health (BEOH), Hazard Assessment Section and is maintained through a contract and ongoing partnership with the UW School of Medicine and Public Health's Department of Population Health Sciences (PHS).
BEOH is committed to ensuring each person can breathe clean air, drink clean water, and grow up, live, and work in healthy spaces. BEOH leads with prevention, focusing on safe environments and healthy communities and working collectively with partners to recognize, evaluate and control environmental public health hazards. This position will lead outreach activities for BEOH's Radon and Indoor Air Program, including developing and implementing communications strategies, and building and maintaining robust statewide public health partnerships related to radon and indoor air.Diversity is a source of strength, creativity, and innovation for UW-Madison. Bachelor's Degree in public health, health communication, journalism, marketing, environmental studies, or social sciences field.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of experience required working in a field related to public health and/or housing.
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, and objectives of public health with a focus on environmental health, risk communication, and/or chronic diseases
Full or Part Time: 80% - 100%
This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.Ongoing/Renewable
Minimum $64,000 ANNUAL (12 months)

The minimum salary for the position is $64,000 but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Travel is required. Must provide a valid driver's license. Employees may use their own transportation or receive approval for University Car Fleet usage.
