Description Are you an experienced Payroll Specialist seeking an opportunity to process payroll with precision and efficiency while contributing to an organization's overall success? Our client is looking for a detail-oriented payroll expert to join their team and oversee critical payroll functions that help drive employee satisfaction and compliance. With this role, you'll take on meaningful work in a dynamic environment, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for all employees. Key Responsibilities: + Process payroll for hourly, salaried, and contract employees on time and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. + Maintain payroll systems and ensure accurate documentation related to employee wages, hours, benefits, taxes, and deductions. + Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax policies, and company standards. Prepare reports such as W-2s and ensure tax filings are accurately submitted. + Address employee questions related to payroll, benefits deductions, and tax calculations promptly and professionally. + Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and recommend enhancements for efficiency. + Work closely with HR and accounting teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in payroll data and reporting. Requirements + Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred. + 2+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a multi-state environment. + Proficiency with payroll systems (ADP, Paychex, or similar) and Microsoft Excel. Experience with HRIS systems is a plus. + In-depth understanding of payroll laws and regulations, including FLSA, wage garnishments, and payroll taxes. + Attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information. + CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) designation preferred but not required.
