Pharmacy Technician

Pharmaceutical company in Foxborough, MA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician with either Pharmacy Technician or IV responsibilities for both morning (AM) and evening (PM) shifts who are interested in becoming part of a dedicated team! The ideal candidate should be able to answer pharmaceutical questions and display exceptional customer service skills. Must display compassion and understanding in addition to attention to detail and excellent administrative skills.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare prescriptions – Prepare medication, as prescribed by physicians, under the guidance of the acting Pharmacist. Under the direction of Pharmacists, remove unneeded or outdated drugs from stock and prepare for return or disposal. Order, receive, and maintain the inventory to maintain tight security at all times.
• Provide administrative support – Maintain a clean and organized environment, including the pharmacy stock and supply area. Document orders, prescriptions, purchase orders, stock, and disbursements into the computer system. Generate orders for drugs and supplies with guidance from the Pharmacist.
• Detail-oriented-- pay attention to the tasks at hand.
• Be ready to learn new technology and software.
• Maintain cleanliness in the work area and self-presentation.
• Have a desire to grow within the field and company and accept responsibility.
• Have a good work ethic.
• Executing precise data entry tasks within defined time frames.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Successful completion of a pharmacy technician training course and state licensing, as required.
• National certification preferred but not required.
• Pass federal background check.
• Pass drug screening.
