JOB SUMMARY Location BSWH Waxahachie Hospital Waxahachie TX Department Laboratory  Shift Night 9:00pm -9:30am Friday - Sunday 3-day x12-hour Preferred Experience Must have at least 2 yrs of hospital experience Must be Donor Phlebotomy Tech-ASCP (DPT), Phlebotomy Technician (PBT): Must have a Phlebotomy Tech Cert from one of these agencies:  ASCP, NPA, ASPT, NCCT, NHA, AMT, NAHP, AMCA, AAH or ACA. The Phlebotomist 2 collects and processes quality specimens in a safe manner as outlined in BSWH policies and procedures. Aids in the delivery of exceptional patient care. Assists with training and auditing of behaviors and performance, as assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

• Follows all established specimen collection, labeling, transportation, and handling procedures.
• Responsible for high customer satisfaction through professional and ethical conduct.
• Performs job responsibilities in an efficient and effective manner.
• Performs clerical duties.
• Demonstrates engagement with achieving department goals and continuous improvement.

• Ability to comprehend and communicate instructions.

• EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
• EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
• CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -

Donor Phlebotomy Tech-ASCP (DPT), Phlebotomy Technician (PBT): Must have a Phlebotomy Tech Cert from one of these agencies:
ASCP, NPA, ASPT, NCCT, NHA, AMT, NAHP, AMCA, AAH or ACA.

OR

Donor Phlebotomy Tech certification from the ASCP.
