EmpowerDB is hiring two web developers: one mid-level developer and one entry-level (or even "apprentice") developer. Our system runs on PHP (no framework), MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery.
Mid-Level Developer – Responsibilities
Add custom functionality to meet unique customer requests. This work frequently involves designing clever solutions that fit within the system’s current allowances.
Migrate data between sources using SQL queries or PHP scripts for smaller jobs. Larger migration projects are handled through our custom-built tool.
Debug and resolve system errors
Build reporting pages in PHP or with our proprietary reporting platform
Be kind to the entry-level developer
Entry-Level / Apprentice Developer – Responsibilities
Provide support to ongoing customers, either directly or by triaging requests to the right team member
Gain exposure to the system’s codebase through daily customer support interactions
Gradually grow into writing code for the platform
Requirements
Mid-level: Prior web development experience with PHP/MySQL/HTML/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery. This role requires working within an established system and codebase. We value developers who can adapt and build solutions within our framework.
Entry-level/Apprentice: No past web development experience required, but must demonstrate strong comfort with technology, a proven ability to excel in a complementary skill area, and excellent communication skills
Compensation
Mid-Level Developer: $100,000 USD per year
Entry-Level / Apprentice Developer: $50,000 USD per year
Final salary offer may be lower depending on your location, experience, and market conditions.

Fully remote
Can live anywhere in the world, but must work 9am - 5pm in any U.S. time zone (Eastern, Central, Mountain, or Pacific)
