Pilates Reformer Class Instructor (Part-Time)

The Hartford Golf Club is a private country club located in West Hartford. It is the premier club in the Hartford region offering a rich tradition of sports, fine dining, and family-focused activities. The 30,000-square-foot Clubhouse sits on 256 acres of impeccably maintained grounds. The Club has an extensive selection of world-class facilities for all ages, including a 27-hole golf course, 9 Har Tru tennis courts, 4 international squash courts, 6 outdoor platform tennis courts, 3 pickleball courts, 3 pools, 4 lane duckpin bowling alley, and a state of the art fitness facility.

We are looking for a fitness-oriented individual with a Pilates Reformer Certification to work with members to increase their fitness levels, improve their sports ability, and help them reach their weight-related goals. In this part-time role, the Pilates Instructor will deliver private training sessions during weekday late afternoons/ evenings and weekends.

The ideal candidate must have previous experience as a Pilates Reformer instructor and have completed certification in Pilates Reformer. This is a great role for someone who is outgoing and focused on working with members to help them meet their fitness goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide clients with safe, reasonable exercises that they can perform in the gym as well as at home.
• Give clients ample notice if they need to change appointment times and respond quickly to clients who must change their schedules.
• Talk to members of the gym about their goals and introduce them to our personal training packages.
• Report on a weekly basis the hours and clients trained so members can be charged and proper payroll can be administered. 
• Advise clients about important safety concerns and demonstrate exercises or maneuvers as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Able to work in person at the Hartford Golf Club fitness center. 
• Maintain your current certification and have your CPR certification updated as needed.
• Compensation is based on an appointment basis only; a generous lesson rate is provided
