We are excited to invite applications for the position of Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician with a large managed care and pharmacy benefits management organization located in Florida. Daily Responsibilities:
As a Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in our call center environment. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Receiving prior authorization requests through fax or incoming calls and evaluating them against established criteria in our database.
Aiming to secure approvals for patients so they can access their medications promptly.
If a request is rejected, you will assist in resolving the issue by communicating with healthcare providers, pharmacists, or insurance representatives.
Providing exceptional customer service to members, customers, and providers throughout the authorization process.
Handling requests for both formulary and non-formulary medications while ensuring compliance with legal and contractual requirements, including turnaround times and service level agreements.
Documenting interactions clearly, accurately, and professionally to meet regulatory standards.
Training and Shift Information:
Training: You will undergo four weeks of training, held Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Please note that attendance during this period is mandatory, as missed time cannot be accommodated.
Shifts: After training, you will work an 8-hour shift with a one-hour lunch break. Availability is required from as early as 5 AM to as late as midnight, with shifts potentially scheduled over weekends. Overtime may be available based on business needs, allowing for up to four additional hours a day.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with minimal time off during the contract period.
Active Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Florida.
High-speed internet connection at home.
Comfort working in a call center and metrics-driven environment.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Compensation:
Pay ranges from $18.95 to $20.70 per hour.
