Job Description

We're looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a fast-paced, remote call center environment! In this role, you'll be at the heart of our efforts to help patients access the medications they need by handling prior authorization requests efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

Processing Requests: You will receive prior authorization requests via fax or phone, verifying the details against a set of criteria to ensure that medications are approved for patients. This includes both formulary and non-formulary medications.
Collaboration and Problem-Solving: When prior authorizations are denied, you'll proactively reach out to healthcare providers, doctors, pharmacists, or insurance companies to resolve any issues and ensure patients can access their prescribed medications.
Customer Support: You will offer clear, accurate, and friendly support to members, providers, and customers, answering their questions and guiding them through the prior authorization process.
Clinical Review: Ensure that authorizations are processed in compliance with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements, including turnaround times (TATs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
Documentation: Properly document interactions with callers according to regulatory requirements, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
Training and Shift Details:

Training: The training program lasts 4 weeks, Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Please note that attendance is mandatory throughout the training period.
Shift Hours: After training, you will work an 8-hour shift with a 1-hour lunch break. Shifts are flexible and may range from 5:00 AM to midnight, with some weekend shifts included. Overtime may be required depending on business needs, with up to 4 hours of additional work per day during peak times or holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
Prior experience in pharmacy, healthcare, or customer service roles is preferred but not required.
Compensation:

Hourly pay rate: $18.95 - $20.70, based on experience and qualifications.
Employment Type: Full-Time
