POSITION: SCTV Production and Engineering Assistant(s): Part-time, variable hours with Salem’s Community Television Station, may include nights and weekends, approximately 10 hours per week, additional hours as needed. The pay rate for this position is $18.50 per hour.

ABOUT THE ROLE: The part-time, SCTV Production and Engineering Assistant is responsible for the execution of tasks related to all aspects of television production and studio operations.
WHAT YOU’LL DO: Reports directly to and is accountable to the SCTV Operations Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (The following is illustrative of the duties and responsibilities associated with the position and is not intended to be all-inclusive.)
Shoot, edit, and finalize shows specified by the Operations Manager or Executive Director.
Create original digital media to support productions.
Assist with the engineering during large productions. Including but not limited to running cabling, and making necessary connections, routing audio and video sources to appropriate destinations, setting up cameras, microphones, lights, monitors, and intercoms.
Build television sets including lighting design, audio, and video.
REQUIREMENTS:
Associate degree from an accredited College or University and at least one (1) years’ experience in a responsible television production setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with live and recorded video production.
Basic Windows Computer Knowledge and experience with Adobe products including Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop required.
Availability for night and weekend hours.
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high stress environment.
Ability to multitask.
Must have a valid Motor Vehicle License.
Must be reliable and punctual.
