General Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our experienced team in a supportive outpatient community mental health agency. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a primarily Medicaid-eligible patient population. We value flexibility in work arrangements and provide case management support, excellent reimbursement options, and eligibility for loan repayment. Both full-time and part-time candidates are welcome to apply. Preference will be given to applicants residing in Oregon.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and provide ongoing medication management and necessary follow-up services for clients.
Review and update assessments and treatment plans at least annually.
Meet with clients a minimum of quarterly to monitor progress and adjust care as needed.
Deliver services within the scope of practice for a qualified mental health professional.
Maintain detailed documentation in the electronic health record, ensuring compliance with Medicaid standards, Oregon Administrative Rules, and private insurance regulations.
Ensure after-hours coverage for assigned clients.
Review and sign off on assessments, Individual Support Plans (ISPs), and other necessary documentation prepared by colleagues that require a licensed mental health professional's signature.
Provide coverage for team members as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience and comfort in working with underserved populations facing complex psychosocial challenges.
Proficiency in working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Strong coordination skills to effectively collaborate with guardians, group home providers, case workers, family members, natural supports, Qualified Mental Health Associates (QMHAs), Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHPs), and other licensed mental health professionals.
Willingness to attend required meetings.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual/Bicultural candidates, particularly Spanish-speaking, are highly encouraged to apply.
Experience working with child and adolescent populations.
Experience working with individuals with developmental delays.
Credentialed with Medicare.
Oregon residency.
Education and Experience:
Master's degree in nursing (required).
At least 1 year of experience as a PMHNP (required).
Valid Oregon PMHNP license (required).
