Korzen Health is searching for a Full time Psychiatrist Medical Director for inpatient role at a new hospital location.

Details

• Inpatientonly position with Medical Director duties.
• Responsible for treating adult patients with acute behavioral issues
• Medical management covered by Internal Medicine/Pediatric providers
• No Call MF No O/P We have a PMHNP that handles the IOP/PHP
  
• Adult Hospital 60 beds. 1 weekend a month. Weekend consists of 3 Providers onsite.
• No ER call requirements
• Competitive compensation in the $400K / year range

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients admitted to the inpatient unit
• Review medical records and conduct interviews with patients and their families to gather comprehensive information
• Formulate accurate diagnoses based on DSM5 criteria and clinical findings
• Develop individualized treatment plans for each patient
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications adjusting as necessary for optimal outcomes
• Provide crisis intervention and supportive counseling as needed
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency program
• Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry
• Current state medical license and DEA registration
• Experience in inpatient psychiatric care preferred
