Reach Truck & Sit-Down Forklift Operator
Location: Wilmer, Texas
Pay Rate: $22/hour
Shift: 12-hour shifts (potentially rotating)
Job Description:
We are seeking skilled Reach Truck and Sit-Down Forklift Operators to join our team at a distribution facility in Wilmer, Texas. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of products throughout the warehouse, loading/unloading trucks, and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. This is a high-paced role that requires strong attention to safety, detail, and commitment to shift schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate reach trucks and sit-down forklifts to move, locate, stack, and count products.
- Load and unload products from trailers and railcars and place them in designated areas.
- Safely stack and retrieve products according to order sheets.
- Maintain high accuracy and careful handling to avoid damage to products or property.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including inventory counting and order picking.
- Perform daily equipment inspections to ensure forklifts are operating safely.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating reach trucks and sit-down forklifts.
- Forklift certification preferred, or ability to obtain certification within 30 days.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and RF scanners is a plus.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends if required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
- Capability to stand, sit, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in a temperature-controlled warehouse environment, with occasional exposure to outdoor temperatures during loading/unloading.
