6 South - is a 54 - bed progressive care Advanced Heart Failure Unit that is primarily composed of adult patients with Congestive Heart Failure and pulmonary edema requiring continuous cardiopulmonary monitoring, heart transplant or mechanical circulatory support evaluation, post-heart transplant care with non-surgical issues, and may undergo cardiac catherization procedures, which will require 1:3 nursing care. In addition, we also care for some medical telemetry patients requiring 1:4 nursing care.
