We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, first-line care to patients in our Emergency Department. You will play a critical role in assessing medical conditions, delivering immediate care, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure effective patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess patient needs, determine care requirements, and provide immediate interventions.
Develop and implement care plans, delegating tasks as necessary.
Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatments and adjust care plans accordingly.
Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, medications, and ongoing care requirements.
Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage high-acuity and complex cases.
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and discharge planning to ensure patient progress and continuity of care.
Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Associate degree in Nursing (required).
Current Registered Nurse License in Illinois (required).
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications (required).
1-3 years of Emergency Room experience (required).
BSN or enrollment in a BSN program (preferred).
Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) certification and ability to be on call (preferred).
Work Schedule & Setting:
12-hour shifts: 7 AM–7:30 PM, 11 AM–11 PM, or 7 PM–7:30 AM.
In-person role in the Emergency Department.
