The Skilled and Infusion Nurse is responsible for providing home health clinical services and is responsible for quality services provided and may, where required, supervise staff. The need is immediate. Competency-based orientation provided. Urgent need for RN to travel to Elkton, VA. Travel Time and Miles paid. Responsibilities

• Perform care as defined by client’s individual Plan of Care and within scope of state’s nurse practice act
• Monitor patient’s condition and notify appropriate personnel of any changes
• Provide those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill
• Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws
• Counsels the client and family in meeting nursing and related needs

Requirements

• Current unrestricted RN license in the State of Virginia
• One (1) year minimum experience working in ICU, Step Down, or ER with wound care, IV insertion, and port access experience.
• Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
• Possess exceptional nursing assessment skills; analytical/critical thinker
• Ability to have flexible hours based on client population.
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
• Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred experience: Peripheral IV starts/maintenance & IV Infusion Therapy; Injection and self-infusion training; Phlebotomy for adult and pediatric patients; CVAD experience & knowledge, Port access, Wound Vacs, and PICC line maintenance.
