Summary Of Responsibilities

The Rotational Engineer is an early-career engineering professional participating in a dynamic two-year rotational program designed to develop broad technical and business skills across multiple engineering disciplines and departments within the company. The incumbent will complete six four-month rotations, gaining hands-on experience in diverse teams and projects, and will present key learnings to leadership to contribute to continuous improvement and innovation.

Essential Functions

  • Completes six distinct four-month rotations across various engineering disciplines and business units, including mechanical, electrical, software, and potentially non-engineering roles.
  • Actively engages with different teams to learn and apply a wide range of technical skills relevant to the company’s products and processes.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations after each rotation to share insights, lessons learned, and potential improvements with engineering leadership.
  • Collaborates effectively with rotational managers and team members to maximize learning opportunities and contribute to project goals.
  • Demonstrates self-motivation by proactively seeking out opportunities to develop skills and deepen understanding within each rotation.
  • Manages time efficiently to balance rotation responsibilities, presentations, and preparation for upcoming assignments, including relocation logistics.
  • Adapts quickly to new environments and challenges, applying a strong aptitude for learning and problem-solving.
  • Builds professional relationships across multiple departments and locations to foster a broad network within the company.
  • Communicates progress and challenges to rotational managers and program leadership to ensure alignment and support.
  • Embraces flexibility in assignments to tailor the program experience to individual career goals and company needs.

Other Functions

  • Participates in recruitment and onboarding activities to support the rotational engineering program.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying cross-functional trends and sharing best practices.
  • Engages with peers and mentors to develop professional skills and industry knowledge.
  • Represents the company positively in internal and external forums, including career fairs and informational sessions.
  • Supports community involvement and volunteer opportunities as part of professional development.
  • Pursues ongoing learning to stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Performs related duties as may reasonably be necessary in the course of business.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
  • Internship experience or 6-plus months related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship experience
  • Strong verbal presentation and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Experience with a high-level cad system

Pay Range

$63,500.00 - $101,700.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
