Job Title: Software QA Tester
Place of Performance: Riverview Center, 150 Broadway, 5th Floor, Menands, NY 12204 (50% Remote)
Minimum Experience: 6+ Years
Rate: $23/hr - $28/hr
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: 18 Months

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Software QA Tester to support enterprise application testing efforts. This role involves leading QA activities for ongoing platform releases and legacy system improvements. The Tester will develop test documentation, execute both manual and automated tests, perform data validation, and collaborate with development and business teams to ensure optimal system performance and quality compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, strategies, and traceability matrices
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and backend testing
• Execute test scripts and analyze results to identify and report defects
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and clarify requirements
• Manage defect tracking and test management tools such as HP ALM or JIRA
• Conduct SQL-based data validation and data migration analysis
• Coordinate testing efforts across multiple projects simultaneously
• Estimate test efforts and ensure timely delivery of QA milestones
• Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle
• Provide detailed test documentation and summary reports

Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 years of experience with business requirements documentation and validation for complex systems
• At least 6 years of QA experience including test planning, execution, and defect tracking
• 5 years of experience leading QA teams on multi-project assignments
• 3 years of experience in backend testing, including data validation, migration, and SQL query execution
• 1 year of experience testing enterprise-level systems
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
• Experience with QA tools such as HP ALM and JIRA
• Ability to work independently and remotely in a fast-paced environment
