Position Overview: As a Special Education Behavioral Specialist, you will work closely with students who need behavioral support, creating and implementing effective behavior intervention plans. You will collaborate with teachers and staff to cultivate a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct functional behavioral assessments to understand individual student needs
Develop and implement personalized behavior intervention plans to promote positive behavioral outcomes
Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support when necessary
Train and support staff in effective behavioral management strategies
Continuously monitor and document students' behavioral progress
Work alongside teachers and support staff to ensure cohesive strategies and support
Keep families informed and involved by sharing progress and behavioral strategies

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
Valid teaching certification in South Carolina with Special Education endorsement
At least 2 years of classroom teaching experience in a school setting
Experience implementing positive behavior support systems
Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles
Excellent crisis intervention and de-escalation skills
