Job Summary:

The College of Social Work is seeking an Event and Meeting Coordinator. This position supports faculty and staff by coordinating the logistical aspects of events (i.e., conferences, meetings, trainings). Logistical coordination includes lodging, meals, presenters, equipment, materials, and registration fees. The Event and Meeting Coordinator will identify the appropriate venues and/or vendors for events and negotiate contracts and rate agreements in accordance with budget parameters. Professionalism is essential in this position. The Event and Meeting Coordinator provides on-site coordination for events, troubleshoot issues as they arise, manages participant/lodging lists, transports materials, and maintains event related records in accordance with University, department, and sponsor guidelines. Event responsibilities also include reviewing event related invoices for accuracy, submitting necessary items for payment processing, conducting site visits, and ongoing venue monitoring and evaluations.
