Senior Illustrator, Generative AI Artist

We are seeking a highly creative and innovative Senior Illustrator, Generative AI Artist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of art creation, blending traditional illustration techniques with cutting-edge generative AI to produce a high volume of unique and market-ready artwork. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Art Creation & Innovation (60%)

• Produce a high volume of original, market-ready artwork using AI tools and manual illustration , targeting 500–1,000 pieces annually.
• Apply trend research and creative direction to guide the development of new visual collections.
• Combine hand-drawn or digitally illustrated elements with AI-generated outputs to craft cohesive pieces.
• Design within multiple visual styles and for diverse market channels (B2B/B2C).
• Lead the development of prompt libraries and style guides for generative models.

Creative Strategy & Leadership (20%)

• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to define visual direction and product strategy.
• Contribute to special art projects, creative briefs, and marketing campaigns.
• Provide mentorship to junior artists on style, technique, and best practices for AI integration.
• Maintain annual sales goals tied to art performance (e.g., $1M in sales across licensed products).

Technical Execution & Quality Control (20%)

• Ensure all artwork meets high standards of quality, brand consistency, and technical precision .
• Use Adobe Creative Suite, Procreate , and similar tools for post-processing, formatting, and color correction.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of workflows involving AI model training, prompt engineering, and data structuring .
• Support digital asset tagging, delivery, and metadata accuracy across platforms.

Additional Responsibilities

• Contribute to internal training documents on AI tools and workflows.
• Lead special projects that intersect art, data, and automation.
• Engage in client-custom art requests with a quick turnaround.

V. Skills, Intellectual Demands, and Job Requirements:

Education, Formal Training & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Illustration, Fine Art, or Digital Media, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in illustration, concept art, or graphic design roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in AI-art platforms (e.g., Midjourney, DALL·E, Stable Diffusion) and prompt engineering with portfolio examples .

Technical Skills and Ability:

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator , and AI image generation tools.
• Strong understanding of visual composition, color theory, and branding .
• Proven ability to translate loose direction into high-impact creative output .
• Must be able to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines , and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Familiarity with market trends and consumer preferences in art, decor, and licensing.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-output creative environment .
